FAR EAST CORRESPONDENT — In his address to the United Nations General Assembly, President Elbegdorj Tskhai highlighted the devastating impact global economic and environmental challenges were having on Mongolia.
President Elbegdorj also used his 32-minute speech – 17 minutes longer than the allocated time – to announce that Mongolia was seeking a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council in 2023-2024.
