
Dutch freelance journalist Ate Hoekstra was this week re-elected President of the Overseas Press Club of Cambodia (OPCC) for a second term and after a difficult year in a world confronted by the COVID-19 pandemic is firmly focussed on 2021.
Hoekstra has been based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia since 2012 and also covers Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos.
As a correspondent he regularly writes for the Dutch newspapers Trouw and Het Financieele Dagblad, as well as for Licas News and Deutsche Welle.
